Hypnosis and Cancer Treatment

As a nurse, I have been witness to people in many types of pain. Patients diagnosed with cancer frequently experience pain, nausea, vomiting and increased stress. As a health professional, my job is to help individuals manage illness and to offer services that promote optimal health and well being. Holistic modalities have become increasingly popular because for many people, they often produce results that promote deeper healing. It is an exciting time to be a health professional. The changes in how we care for individuals have been truly amazing. In an effort to help clients and colleagues learn more about holistic healthcare, I will be sharing research articles and additional resources that help deepen understanding for all.  I hope you find this article from Oncology Nurse Advisor helpful.

The passing of time changes us in subtle ways.

We experience new things, each and every day, whether we are paying attention or not.

A bird swoops past our car windshield - within inches of being hit.

A car runs a red light, just before you are ready to pull into a turning lane.

You catch yourself before falling down a flight of stairs.

Things happen and "don't" happen.

Imagine how different it would be, if any or all three of the above situations had turned out differently?

What other situations are happening in your life that you may not be paying much attention to?

Do you sense a certain "energy" when you are with people?

The woman who never says hello or acknowledges your presence.

The woman who greets everyone with a smile and a hug.

The man with gentle eyes and speaks in soft tones.

The man who never looks up from his cell phone.

The child who strums intently on a guitar.

The child who stares blankly at a computer screen.

I encourage you to "listen" to the energy around you.

It has valuable messages and lessons to share.

The energy around a person, often tells us much more than the words.
